Our focus this month: The Dance of Time
Interested in learning a wellness technique or two that can empower you to manage time  and support your journey to be present as you acheive self mastery? Join us for a discussion on the ultimate currency time, connect while we learn in community and have some FUN, with meditative movement, we will have a short salsa or merengue class at the end.Â
What to expect
This is  a monthly event that takes place the first Wednesday of the month, location can vary depending on our topic of focus, for example our Mindful walks tend to take place at parks or lakes. Occasionally we will have guest speakers based on the needs expressed by the community. This is an event for the community and all are welcome.
The event flows
The first 30 minutes or so we network and enjoy some light refreshments.
At 7pm we start our programming and focus on the topic at hand while personalizing it to the needs of the group.
This gathering is intended to be a dialogue in which we share a technique and we discuss how it can be personalized for your personal practice. Though we sometimes have handouts, we really emphasize in the wisdom all have in a non-judgement zone. Our goal is that ALL walk away with something they can apply to their life to support and grow their wellness.
Our Why
EnLuz provides wellness advocacy and accessibility via workshops in low income communities. We teach skills and their practical applications in daily life. We focus on cultural, generational and neurodiversity needs. Our goal is to support the individual's emotional stability, empower them with mindset shifting techniques and then support them with strategies for growth, while in community and simultaneously forming a supportive network for their journey.
The skills encompass mindfulness, emotional regulation, meditation, breathing techniques, gratitude, adaptation to change, visualization techniques and empowerment of self. Topics for the Wellness circle will vary depending on attendee feedback,
Our hope is to expand our social entrepreneurial footprint with teachings on wellness strategies and skills that are made accessible to all. Despite research on the benefits of techniques such as mindfulness, the price tag tends to exclude the population that may have the most to gain.We seek to address that mental health disparity by insourcing wellness and growing in community.
