Quantum Security: PQC, Crypto-Agility & the Future Cybersecurity Workforce
This session will focus on expanding quantum security knowledge among both current and emerging cybersecurity professionals. It is an honor for us to be a participating event of the NIST & NICE Cybersecurity Career Week in support of cybersecurity workforce development and the simplification of knowledge and opportunities within the field. All are welcome and no prior quantum or cybersecurity knowledge needed.
Participants will gain a high-level understanding of the evolving quantum security landscape and concepts while exploring how cybersecurity skills, emerging technologies, and future workforce opportunities increasingly intersect. Specifically, we wish to convey the regulatory opportunities aligned to Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and the importance of Crypto-Agility as it relates to Cybersecurity Frameworks (NIST), the distinction between PQC and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), as well as the workforce opportunites from here to 2030.
